Elizabeth Walker RN, MSN, NNP-BC
Elizabeth Walker RN, MSN, NNP-BC began her nursing career in 1996 and worked as a Registered Nurse in tertiary hospitals in the following areas: Newborn Intensive Care, Labor & Delivery, Women’s Health and Antepartum Testing.
In 2011, she graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner specialty. She holds both a Texas and New Mexico advanced practice nursing licenses and is nationally certified in her specialty area. Prior to coming to Los Alamos Medical Center in February, 2015, she was employed at the University of New Mexico in their level IIIB Newborn Intensive Care Unit.
She is a native Texan from the Panhandle area, and moved to New Mexico five years ago. She and her husband reside in Albuquerque with their cat and three dogs. They have two grown children and a granddaughter. Her hobbies include piloting her hot air balloon, traveling and being a grandmother. The favorite part of her job is meeting families from many different ethnic backgrounds and being able to provide level II special care to newborns requiring it, while keeping them close to home in Los Alamos.
