November 19, 2024
More than 40 attendees turned out to Los Alamos Medical Center on Saturday, Nov. 16th for informative sessions and great conversations at the inaugural LAMC Women’s Expo. The event offered interactive education on a vast cross-section of women’s health issues, ranging from cardiovascular health, to pelvic floor health, to outlining essential components of physical and mental well-being.
“It was fascinating,” said attendee Pam Peterson of El Rancho. “It was a very helpful and informative event.”
In addition to enjoying breakout sessions, tours of the Labor & Delivery Unit and delicious refreshments, guests were also able to visit with several community organizations and businesses in the vendor area. Represented were First Born Program of Los Alamos, BabyNet, Family Strengths Network and Balanced Momtality. The hospital would also like to thank the following for donating some fantastic raffle prizes and gift certificates for the event: Local artist Michelle Ferran, Flowers by Gillian, Glisten Skin and Beauty Bar, Sugar and Cream, Petree Garden Center and the LAMC Lobby Shop.
“Thank you to all the wonderful attendees, presenters, LAMC staff and community partners who came together at our hospital to make this expo such a success. It was fantastic to see so many women come together to learn not only about our many services available close to home, but to connect and have deep conversations with one another,” said Tracie Stratton, CEO of Los Alamos Medical Center. “We love hosting and interacting with our community members, so please stay tuned for more events at our hospital in the near future.”
